Transport of the future

NASA presented the past 21 January this vehicle concept called "Puffin". A one-man aerial vehicle capable of traveling at a speed of 241 kph and a top speed can reach 482 kph.

Driven by electric motors this magnificent device does not pollute and is very quiet. In addition, given that its structure is made of very lightweight materials, weight should be around 180 kg, amazing is not it?

The Puffin takes off like a helicopter; It has some similarity with a jetpack and fly like an airplane with a range of 80 kilometers. It measures 3.7 meters long, has a wingspan of 4.1 meters with outstretched wings.

During his presentation at a meeting of the American Society of helicopters Puffin achieved a maximum elevation of 9.150 meters before the limitations arising from lithium battery system forced him to descend. Unfortunately for us, this prototype will go through hundreds of tests before they can use it to go to the office, home or college.
